Carpentry workshop

Tailored craftsmanship for the workplaces of tomorrow

The carpentry workshop at Yllw Factory is a creative hub where skilled craftsmen deliver customized solutions for office furniture. From complex restorations to innovative design projects, we shape sustainable and functional work environments. Through our craft, we support a circular economy and reduce environmental impact. Our focus on quality and sustainability ensures every project meets your specific needs and expectations.

Custom-built to match your needs

In our workshop, we produce made-to-measure solutions tailored to the requirements of each unique project – from reception desks and storage units to workstations and customized conference tables. We collaborate closely with architects, designers and clients to create furniture that is both practical and visually integrated into the space. It's a flexible offer for companies seeking functionality and form in circular design.

From tabletop to complete coffee table

A former conference table top in solid ash was repurposed in our carpentry workshop. Instead of replacing it with new material, we chose to continue working with the existing top and give it a new function, with a focus on preserving as much as possible of the original material and expression.

A table top measuring nearly 3.5 metres was divided into smaller sections.

Design by Studio Navet

The coffee table is designed by Studio Navet and developed in collaboration with Yllw Factory, based on reclaimed material and an existing tabletop. The design language draws inspiration from 1970s pine tables and has been translated into a tailored coffee table in ash.

The table is produced in the carpentry workshop at Yllw Factory and developed for Publique Social Club at Mariatorget in Stockholm. The result is a new piece of furniture with a clear identity, where design and craftsmanship meet and the material is given an extended life in a new context.

Restoration that extends product lifespan

Many furniture items still have plenty to give – they just need the right care. Through expert carpentry, we repair, reinforce and adapt used furniture so it can serve a new purpose in a new context. We replace worn parts, adjust construction details and make sure the result meets high functional and aesthetic standards. The outcome is long-lasting products without the environmental footprint of new production.

Surface treatment for aesthetics and durability

We offer professional surface finishing that enhances both appearance and longevity. Our team works with lacquering, staining and painting, tailored to the material, color scheme and intended use. Whether restoring the original finish or creating an entirely new expression, we ensure that every piece gets a durable and well-executed surface.

Creative upcycling projects

The Yllw Factory workshop plays a key role in our upcycling initiatives. Here, we transform old materials and components into entirely new furniture and functions – such as desk panels made from repurposed shelving or tiered seating crafted from reclaimed sheet materials. With creative thinking and skilled craftsmanship, we turn what's already available into long-lasting value with minimal environmental impact.

Integrated production and cross-team collaboration

Our carpentry is part of the integrated production facility in Dalby, which also includes upholstery, surface finishing and warehousing. This setup enables close collaboration between trades and minimizes transport, saving both time and resources. Throughout the process, we work closely with our clients – from concept to delivery – with an emphasis on quality, sustainability and function.

A workshop with a circular mission

The foundation of our carpentry operations is to support our clients in working more circularly. This means identifying materials at risk of being discarded and instead preserving what still holds potential. By dismantling, adapting, repairing, and refining existing components, we create new solutions without placing unnecessary strain on resources. The work is carried out by skilled cabinetmakers with broad expertise and extensive experience. Each day brings new challenges, requiring both creativity and precision. That flexibility is key to how we meet diverse needs while extending the life of existing materials.
